I'm Kyle, a high school student with over five years of investing experience. Throughout my time as an investor, I have had both large successes and poor mistakes. With both my successes and failures, I decided to embark on my project, invetsting4beginners, to teach new investors how to tackle the daunting task of beginning their investing journey. My Investing Journey
I first began investing towards the end of 2020 when the market was hastily declining due to the outbreak in Covid. At first, I was obsessed with electric vehicle stocks, as over half of my portfolio initially was comprised of such stocks. Despite my bullish view of these companies, within just over a month my portfolio went down over 50%. I quickly became discouraged and wanted to sell all of my investments., but the more I began reflecting, I was able to shift my mindset and instead viewed this failure as an opportunity to invest more at discounted rate. So, I started diversifying my investments into several different sectors of the market, and overtime, my investments steadily grew and surpassed what they once were. Also, the more I began understanding which companies were profitable and which weren't, I was able to identify which companies had the most potential to thrive. With these strategies and experiences, I have been able to profit over 250% over the past fie years. Now, I want to teach the youth and new investors how to properly invest their money to optimize their success now and especially in the future.
